Rumour has reached us that the half demon Tamlin has somehow been
able to capture the heart of the sweet lady Florine. Apparently
the couple is engaged to be married. One might wonder if the
young lady knows what she is getting into. We have heard that
the half demon has a rather shady past.

Did anyone else notice a sparkle between a certain married lady and
the giant Vetch during the Midsummer events? One might wonder what
is going on there. Then, since the lady's husband has been 'missing'
for quite some time, perhaps the lady cannot be blamed for seeking
attention elsewhere.

Gornim Road, River and Lake were all named in honour of the first
mayor of River Bend. Mayor Gornim the Great founded the town of
River Bend and was the one who contacted the other part of Imagica
to begin the building of the Gornim Road connecting River Bend to
the rest of the world.

Tangryn Haven was founded by a rich merchant finding the spot of
former Rome to be a strategically good spot for trade. The man
was obviously right since Tangryn Haven has turned into a town
of trade with merchants coming and going every day.

When the Sisters of Good and Evil in the Twin Towers were children
they were once stuck in the towers' maze for several days unable
to find the way out.

During a full week in June events and quests were held during a
Role Playing Week with the theme of Midsummer. One could see faes
and pixies dancing about and partake in good food and interesting
events.
Below you can see a summary of the weeks events and quests.
A Sunrise Swim
Opening the Midsummer festivities with a sunrise swim, Crisstilynn
was joined by a myriad of other residents of Imagica, including some
very elusive fae. As some splashed through the water, the faeries
were pursued by Amalthea who put up a good chase but was unable to
catch them. Gannon, Vetch, Shimmer, Rauds and several others
refreshed themselves while enjoying the sunrise on Midsummer morning.
Faerie Queen's Visit
The Queen of the Faes visited Imagica to tell of a tradition where
one would gather nine different flowers and bind them in a garland.
Legend says that if one sleep with the garland in their bed on
Midsummer, then one will dream of one's future spouse. Several
Imagicans showed up for the event and did a good job of finding
the flowers the Queen said they would need to bind their garlands.
Bonfire
There was a bonfire where everyone got to enjoy the summer evening
and learn the lore of the bonfires. (More may be coming)
Missing Children
(This quest can be read about in the Quest section.)
Picnic in the Park
Sharing a longtime tradition from her homeland, Felice invited the
ladies of Imagica to pack a picnic lunch in the hopes of luring a
new beau. Radagast, Maruk and Vellia each packed a lunch which Vetch
and Rauds got to search for. The lunches found, Rauds and Maruk ate
together while Vetch kept Radagast company. Vellia joined Felice and
Tristan as well as Metgod who had just stopped by to watch the
festivities.
It is likely that none of the ladies found their new love, but the picnic
was enjoyed by all who came.

World Update
-------------
The World of Imagica was updated on 31 May 2004 with several new
zones and some older zones that had some small updates and fixes.
Following the siege and destruction of Rome, the city is now gone
from the world, and a new town has been erected in its place, by the
name of Tangryn Haven. A complete list of the new zones that were
added can be seen below.

Missing Children Quest (held during RP Week)
When more and more elven children were missing from the Tree of Life,
the sylvan chief became really concerned. He asked the Imagica citizens
to help him find them. His only suggestion was to ask the adventurers
near the forest.
The adventurer told the citizens to check with the sorceress in the
Forevergreen, because he thought it was a supernatural being taking
the children and she might know. The sorceress sent the citizens on
a silly errand and after that, she told them the story of the evil
spirit of the water, Nacken.
She told them the power lies within his name. When he hears his name,
he flees from sight, allowing anyone he has charmed to be rescued. She
hinted he could be found below a madman locked up in a crystal, on a
river.
After some thinking, Tamlin recalled that there was a rumour a while
back about a madman in a crystal in the Mystical Caves. They quickly
thanked the sorceress and went on their way. They had some initial
trouble finding their way but soon found the place and shouted at the
spirit who promptly fled.
The children were finally rescued and the sylvan chief rewarded each
and every helper with a special ring.

Tangryn Haven
Built on the spot where the city of Rome once stood Tangryn Haven
sports a harbour where merchants visit with their goods. A large
market place can be found in the south east corner of the town,
where merchants and others meet and show off their merchandise.
The harbour itself is a bit shabbier, and so are the houses close
to the harbour, while other parts of the town sport large town
houses belonging to the rich merchants.
The Ebony Tower
Placed in the middle of the Ban-Weary village The Ebony Tower is
a school for magically gifted girls. Their families send them
to the school to receive a first class magical education from
good teachers and tutors. The school is run by the Black Mistress
a powerful enchantress with a fondness for dragons. The school
itself is, as the name implies, a tall tower built of ebony.
It's beautiful and nicely decorated, making it a good home for
the girls there to study.
